Toast Talks!

Have you too lost track of what is going on at our long-time mission partner in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver:  First United? Disruption! Planned and exciting disruption. They are well on their way to a new 11-story building, including seven floors for below-market rental indigenous housing. Demolition will start in the fall and they are relocating their programs in a scattering of locations throughout the Downtown Eastside, including a food truck. (How trendy is that!) They have been very successful with grants and partnerships and we will be hearing more about a capital campaign to raise the balance.
