Last year’s “The Gift of Being Present” theme for Advent was so well received that LV United will take on another interesting and intentional theme “The Inn: Housing the Holy”
A little help from the congregation is needed in setting the stage, though, and that is where you all come in.
A whole new theme calls for creating new decorations to inspire and reinforce the Advent message. The series also has a social justice and care for creation component, so the hope is that NO PURCHASES are made for decorations for the tree. The timing is such that everything needs to be ready before the “Advent Retreat” (more about that in another blurb), with one more opportunity to get together to make ‘ornaments' on Saturday November 23 from 1-4pm. If your preference is to help with decorating rather than crafting, plan to be at the Advent retreat or stick around after worship to do a few more. If you have questions or want to confirm you are all in for the “Inn Crowd” maker session, please be in touch with Kelly J (kelly.jenner@gmail.com).
Thanks, in advance for your contributions!
