In honour of Black History Month, Valerie Jerome will discuss her Memoir

The Social Justice Team at Lynn Valley United Church is highlighting Black History Month, they came upon this event taking place at Lynn Valley Library.  Please consider attending. Here is what they had to say about author Valerie Jerome.

"Raised in North Vancouver, Jerome reveals the remarkable story of her family's legacy in her book. Her Grandfather was Canada's first Black Olympian, and her brother was one of the most recognizable Black Canadian athletes in the 1960's. She sheds light on the racism they faced - from their community, the media, and the country at large."
