‘Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.' Jeremiah 32:17 ESV

Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally through earthday.org including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries.

The theme for Earth Day 2025 is "Our Power, Our Planet," focusing on renewable energy and urging a global shift towards clean electricity generation by 2030.

In our own communitty the City of North Vancouver will be celebrating Earth Day in Sunrise Park on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.! This is a chance for us to join others in our community for a day of FREE family-friendly fun, where everyone is welcome to:

  • Help us remove invasive plants
  • Stop by the educational booths
  • Enjoy activities hosted by local environmental and other organizations
  • Get a tune up at the Bike Repair Café

See you rain or shine!

Whether or not you're not able to join us in person, we invite you to celebrate by participating from home. There are lots of great things you can do at home to help the environment!!
