Last year’s “The Gift of Being Present” theme for Advent was so well received that LV United will take on another interesting and intentional theme “The Inn: Housing the Holy”
There is a little help needed in seeing the stage, though, and that’s where you come in. A whole new theme means creating new decorations to inspire and reinforce the Advent message. As the theme leans towards social justice and care for creation, the hope is that NO PURCHASES will be involved with making decorations for the tree. The hope is also that everything will be ready for the “Advent Retreat” (more about that in another blurb), so there will be 2 opportunities to get together to make ‘ornaments' on Saturday, November 2 from 11am-12:30pm and on Saturday November 23 from 1-4pm. There will also be an opportunity to help with decorating the church at the retreat on Nov 30. If you have questions or want to confirm you can be at one or both of the “Inn Crowd” work parties, please be in touch with Kelly Jenner (email).
