The “have” and “have not” narrative weaves itself through all of history as humans oppress one another out of a fear of scarcity. We have been conditioned to believe that more power, more money, and more control equate to more security. And yet, this script has not actually created the security it espouses. Jesus comes to a “level place” and not only levels the hierarchy, but flips the script entirely and offers a vision of the future in which all are filled.
