Wouldn’t it be nice if Jesus was clearer? Or perhaps if Jesus was less clear. What a commitment he is asking of us. We read often of those who have done just this, poured themselves out for the world: the Martin Luther King's and Oscar Romero's and Sister Theresa's and Greta Thunberg's of this world. I wonder how we, ordinary people living our less than dramatic lives, pour ourselves out in the same way. What needs to be removed to make room for Christ, and what needs to be offered to the world. Lent is such a good time to reflect on this, and to be encouraged that we don’t walk along as we ponder the questions. See you Sunday as we reflect on this conundrum.
